The Legal Clinic is an application that offers interactive education methods, which aim to spread legal awareness in the community to assist marginalized groups and those who need legal assistance such as migrants, workers, and victims of crime and bullying. Students at Al-Ahliyya Amman University are offered the opportunity to work in the Legal Clinic under the direct supervision and guidance of a specialized faculty member who is already in the legal profession.
Working in the Legal Clinic helps to hone the students’ professional skills and develop their communication skills within the community. Moreover, it strengthens their understanding of legal texts and jurisprudence and helps them in studying jurisprudential opinions and linking them to real-life experiences so that the student, under the supervision of a faculty member, can provide legal advice according to the case presented. The Legal Clinic also allows students to practise communication, interviews, and information skills, and visit schools, workplaces, and civil society organizations.
