Welcome To Faculty of Law Website:
I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Faculty of Law
and I am pleased to present an overview of the faculty which was one of the
first faculties to be established at Al-Ahliyya Amman University as the first
private university in Jordan in 1990. Since the
graduation of its first batch in 1994, the faculty contributed to providing the
justice and the law sector in Jordan and abroad with distinguished legal
competencies in the fields of law, the judiciary, leadership positions,
arbitration, legal counsel and others. It is worth mentioning that the graduates
of the AAU Faculty of Law hold prestigious positions in the public and private
sectors.
At the Faculty of Law, we look forward to contribute in the
consolidation of the principle of the rule of law and the achievement of
justice in society. To fulfill this vision, the faculty aims to achieve
specialized education in the field of legal knowledge needed by employees and
researchers in the justice and the law enforcement sector through modern
curricula that encourage critical thinking and creativity. The faculty also
aims to provide graduates with the theoretical sciences and practical skills
required by all professions that deal with the law.
Since its inception, the faculty has been keen on recruiting the
best academic competencies, who devote their academic and practical experiences
in the service of the university education and the development of students’ and
researchers’ knowledge, and who enrich the legal research with a distinguished
scientific production. The faculty was also keen on contributing to the
development of the local community, spreading the legal awareness and
participating in the local and international scientific forums through
qualitative and productive legal contributions.
The Faculty of Law is proud of its contribution to university
education in Jordan and the region by offering four study programs: the
Bachelor’s program in Law and three postgraduate programs: Master’s in Law
since 2005, Master’s in Penal Law since 2019 and Master’s in Arbitration and
Construction Contracts starting in 2021.
Thank you for visiting the faculty website, hoping that we will
give you the opportunity to review the programs and the study plans and browse
